Covid-19 Bulletin: 36

Living with the continuing risk of Covid:

Following on from the Government’s recent announcements, as of this Thursday 27th January 2020, we are pleased to be allowed to ease the current level of restrictions, as the country learns to live with covid over the years ahead.

The Club’s covid group has considered how best we adjust the level of restrictions here at the Club.

We still feel it is wise to be cautious to minimise the risks of harm to our members, our staff and visitors.

Please bear the following in mind when at the Club and be kind and considerate to others:

  • You are encouraged to wear a mask when not seated
  • Do not come to the Club if you feel unwell
  • Avoid crowded queues at the bar
  • Accept that the doors and windows may need to be open for ventilation
  • Be patient as service may be slower than usual

As our events open again, full details will be circulated in the normal way and on the website. We will, where possible and practical, be asking for prebooking for some events to ensure we do not overcrowd.

The current seating arrangements in the Club Lounge and Skylight Room will remain as now to give space for us all.

Our Annual General Meeting will be held in late March and with a fair wind, we may be able to hold that at the Club. More details to follow, of course.

Always happy to receive your comments at any time, especially if you fancy a cuppa and the opportunity to talk things over at the Club.
