Members of the Cruising Section like going places by boat.

It can be a barbeque on the beach at Studland or wafting through the French canals to the Mediterranean.

Cruising

This section caters for those who have a passion for Classic and Wooden boats.

This include all forms of yacht, dinghy, motor cruiser, rowing boat and canoe.

They do not have to own a wooden boat, in fact many of the members have 'modern' classics which have the lines and rigs of older craft but use modern materials and techniques in their construction

Classic

The Cornish Shrimper 19, (and more recently its slightly larger equivalent the 21) is one of the most well-proven sailing cruisers with almost 1400 built since 1980 and production still continuing. Its success can be attributed to a very competent, yet reassuring sailing performance, good accommodation for its size, sturdy construction and over all, - versatility.

Midweek Day Sailing. Social day out on the water (subject to the weather) with or without crew or boat come and join us. Wednesdays 10am in the club house for coffee, chat and sail.

All welcome all you need to do is turn up in the Club with a love of sailing and a life jacket. You can buy a snack for the boat from the bar.

You do not need to register in advance aimed for non-working & retired people who want to socialise and sail mid-week.
