Covid-19 Bulletin: 37

Living with, and minimising, Covid risk at the Club

Thank you for playing your part in keeping us safe during the pandemic.

Following on from the Government’s announcements earlier this week, the Club’s covid group has considered how to adapt here at the Club.
While the Government has removed legally enforced requirements aimed to combat Covid we feel it is wise to continue to be cautious to minimise the risks of harm to our members, our staff, and visitors.

The worst of Covid-19 seems to be behind us now. The virus is still active but for most people it is no worse than influenza or a cold.

As we return to “more normal” activity at the Club, we encourage you to consider the following:

As we return to “more normal” activity at the Club, we encourage you to consider the following:

  • Wear a mask when the Club is busy
  • Use the hand sanitizers
  • Do not come if you are unwell, even if it is “just a cold” or sore throat
  • Avoid crowded queues at the bar
  • Accept that the doors and windows may need to be open for ventilation
  • Continue to be kind and considerate to others

It is very pleasing to see the preparations being made for the future Club events, as these begin to open up further still. Full details will be circulated in the normal way and on the website.

We will, where possible and practical, be asking for prebooking for some events to ensure we do not overcrowd.

The current seating arrangements in the Club Lounge and Skylight Room will remain as now to give space for us all.

Thank you for all the comments you direct my way and to those members enjoying a coffee and an opportunity to talk things over with me at the Club.

Spring is in the air!
