Bournemouth Pier Race

The Bournemouth Pier Race starts off from the Club, exits the Harbour on the ebb and returns on the flood to finish back at the Club. Exactly how far we get depends on the forecast and the course is decided on the day.

If wind is light it may use any of the marks along the beach to the pier, such as Poole Head (Shore Road), Branksome Outfall, Alum Outfall, but conditions allowing it should be the Bournemouth Pier Buoy at the farthest point.

There are separate starts for Cruiser Class 3, R19s and then a mass start all other dinghy classes. Dinghy classes with their own start are responsible for their own class trophies.
