Studland Race
R,(G,D,8,7)
The Studland Race (YWDB Studland and Bankes Arms Trophy): weather permitting starts at the Club, takes the last of the ebb out of the Harbour, round the end of the Training Bank and finishes at a Club rib in Studland Bay.
The exact course is given on the board on the day. The rib usually provides a start for those who want to race back. For those who want to return under their own steam without rib cover, there are local attractions such as the naturist beach (we'd raise the bar there) and the Bankes Arms - that also has a bar!
There is a separate class start for R19s followed by a mass start for other fleets: Laser/Aeros, Gp14s, Dayboats and Joint handicap. There is also a start for Class 3 which they race for the Frank Hebditch Memorial Trophy. All dinghy classes with their own start (7,G,D,8) are responsible for their own class trophies.
