Adult Social Training

This group is designed for those that have either done the Adult Improvers or RYA Level 2 course and would like to sail as a group and go for a Social sail in the Harbour. You will have a Powerboat with you and get tuition during the sail from a experienced sailor and Instructor. The Instructor will plan the session and where you will sail depending on the conditions, wind/tide. This will be a very sociable sailing evening and as well as going for a social sail you may also play some games along the way to help develop your sailing skills along with exploring the harbour.
Each week you will take it in turns to be RIB assist with the Instructor driving the RIB, this will also enable you to watch and learn from the RIB with the Instructor as you will see things from a different view that you don't when you are sailing. As we want this social sailing group to stay close together whilst sailing you would be required to sail a Laser, or a boat of similar speed.

The Monday night group will start on Monday 1st April 2019 until Monday 9th September and will start promptly at 6pm until 8pm approx.

As some of you may wish to alternate between racing and the social sailing group a Whatsapp group will be set up, please can you ensure if you decide you can't come or will be racing please let us know in the Whatsapp group each week.

The cost of this group will be race fee's - £77 for the year. To sign up please complete the Poole Yacht Club Dinghy race entry form along with payment of the race fees to the office and complete the online form below. Once you have booked on, I will send a welcome letter to you via email.
