VE DAY – 80th Anniversary

In 2025, we mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day (8 May) , remembering the end of the Second World War in Europe and the Pacific. At Poole Yacht Club, we pay tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience of all those who served—both in battle and on the home front. As a mark of respect, the Club flag will be flown at half-mast . The anniversary gives us all a moment to pause, remember, and reflect on the lasting importance of peace, freedom, and coming together as a community.
