This Section was formed in 1998 with the following objectives:
- To encourage and promote the ownership, use and enjoyment of Classic and Traditional Yachts, Motor Cruisers and Dinghies, by the exchange of information, experience and skills, through association between those with a common interest and enthusiasm.
- To foster a responsible awareness and recognition of intrinsic value and significance of traditional boats and vessels of all kinds, which form an important part of our Maritime Heritage; together with the provision of the practical facilities needed for their maintenance.
- To enjoy and thereby preserve, the related cultural legacy of music, song, image, and literature given to us be generations of Seafarers up to and including the present time and also create our own record, to do everything to increase pride and ownership in our boats which ultimately affects the value of our possession and their preservation.
- At intervals to recognise by Award, meritorious voyages or cruises by Members and outstanding restoration projects.
