The Racing Section Wall
Welcome to the Racing Section Wall.
Racing for many types of dinghy takes place from start lines adjacent to our Haven entrance. The ‘Top Triangle’ is ideal for racing dinghies and shoal-draft cruisers while dinghies at low tide and larger cruisers utilise the extensive Harbour Channels.
Poole Yacht Club's Cruiser Racing is the largest cruiser racing fleet within our great harbour. There are around 100 boats racing each week, primarily on a Tuesday evening.
Generally Club racing starts in March, or April, and continues until December. The evening racing season runs from early April until mid-September. All Series are Open.
Some pages are only visible to members.
These pages are mantained by Club members. Please contact this section's committee if you would like to provide content.
Below are extracts taken from all of the Racing section menus and displayed by last modified. Click the "Read more" link or the title to view more.
